The only problem Louisville has is their scoring capabilities. As we saw in their loss against Wake Forest earlier this week, scoring the ball can make all the difference. The good thing is that their defense can help them get by for at least a week in the tournament as they play similar offensively challenged teams given their seeding (1, 2 or 3). Donovan Mitchell can save them in this department. The kid is electrifying in all offensive areas. He can knock down threes and throw down a crazy dunk every now and then. Of anyone in the field, he's the most likely to Kemba his team to a national championship.
As for Notre Dame, they also played really well. Here's my theory on Notre Dame, even though I won't follow through with it when doing my bracket: For the last two seasons Notre Dame has gotten to the Elite Eight by having two similar teams that play the same way. This year's team is no different from the previous two years. They have outstanding guard play in Matt Farrell and VJ Beachem, and they can all shoot the ball. Be wary of them in the tournament because they are capable of making it three straight Elite Eights.
