I've said this before, but I feel I should reaffirm this notion since Wisconsin lost to Purdue on Sunday. The Big Ten is wide open. Like more wide open than Shaq behind the three point line. There are now no undefeated teams left in Big Ten play, and there is a logjam at the top with Minnesota, Purdue, Michigan State, Nebraska, Maryland and Wisconsin all having one loss. What may be even more surprising is that Indiana, Michigan, and Iowa are all 1-2 in conference play. Despite this unpredictable conference, some things remain the same. Rutgers is currently 0-4 in the Big Ten play. It's nice to have that consistency. But seriously this conference is up for grabs, and no team is that good, which makes for an awesome slate. This is one of the first years where I can't see any team in the Big Ten making a Final Four run. If I had to pick two, give me Purdue because of Caleb Swanigan and Indiana because of streaky shooting, but those two are still way down my list. So the Big Ten may be a weaker conference this year, but it will still be interesting to see who comes out on top.
My Prediction: Purdue
My Backup Prediction: Wisconsin
My Backup Backup Prediction: Michigan State
